Ahmedabad, November 3, 2026: :- With the objective of creating awareness about the Chartered Accountancy profession and guiding young students towards promising career opportunities, the Ahmedabad Branch of the Western India Regional Council (WIRC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) organised a Campus Visit and Career Counselling Programme for students of Standards 10, 11 and 12 of Zydus School for Excellence on November 3, 2026.
The programme provided students with an opportunity to visit the ICAI Ahmedabad Branch and gain first-hand exposure to the professional environment, infrastructure and various initiatives undertaken by ICAI for the development of the CA profession.
CA Rinkesh Shah, Chairman, ICAI Ahmedabad Branch, addressed the students and provided valuable insights into the Chartered Accountancy profession, its evolving role and the wide range of opportunities it offers in India and globally.
In his address, CA Rinkesh Shah highlighted that Chartered Accountancy is much more than a qualification in accounting and taxation. It is a profession that opens doors to leadership, entrepreneurship, business management, finance, consulting, international assignments and nation-building. He encouraged students to look at the CA profession with a broader perspective and understand the immense opportunities emerging in the changing global business environment.
He also emphasised that success in the CA profession is built on discipline, consistency, dedication, integrity and a willingness to continuously learn. He motivated students to start exploring their career aspirations early, develop analytical and problem-solving abilities, embrace technology and artificial intelligence, and remain curious about the world around them.
CA Rinkesh Shah further encouraged students not to be apprehensive about the challenges associated with the CA course, but to view them as opportunities to develop resilience, confidence and professional excellence. He highlighted the importance of Chartered Accountants in strengthening India’s economy and contributing to the growth of businesses and institutions worldwide.
During the interactive career counselling session, students were introduced to the Chartered Accountancy course, its curriculum, examination structure, eligibility, practical training and the different stages involved in becoming a Chartered Accountant.
The session also highlighted diverse career opportunities available to Chartered Accountants in areas such as auditing, taxation, finance, corporate management, consulting, entrepreneurship, international taxation and global professional assignments.
The students also had an opportunity to interact with the representatives of ICAI Ahmedabad and clarify their queries regarding the CA course, examinations and future career prospects.
The initiative reflects ICAI Ahmedabad’s continued commitment towards connecting with young minds, nurturing future professionals and creating awareness about the Chartered Accountancy profession among school students.
Through such campus outreach and career counselling initiatives, ICAI Ahmedabad aims to inspire the next generation of Chartered Accountants and contribute towards building a strong professional ecosystem.
