“St. Xavier’s College Hosts 19th Akhil Utcarsh Day to Encourage Persons with Disabilities”

The 19th Akhil Utkarsh Day was celebrated enthusiastically on 15 March 2026 at St. Xavier’s College, Ahmedabad.
The event began at 8:30 AM with registration followed by tea and refreshments. The main session of the program started at 11:00 AM. The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Nandini Rawal.

The Guests of Honour included:
Tarak Luhar, Fr. David Roy, Director of St. Xavier’s College, Ahmedabad. Bharat Joshi, Employment Officer from Andhjan Mandal.
Dr. Sebastian Vaddakkan, Principal of St. Xavier’s College, Ahmedabad.

The primary objective of the program was to encourage and support persons with disabilities. The initiative also provides writer assistance for visually impaired students from Ahmedabad and nearby areas, helping them in their studies and examinations.

During the program, several cultural performances were presented by children, including performances by guest students, a skit by volunteers, singing by members, and poetry recitations, making the event engaging and meaningful.

The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks, followed by an informal interaction session. Lunch was arranged for all participants. The program ended with gift distribution and a reflection session by volunteers, where they shared their experiences of the day.

The presence of distinguished guests, volunteers, and participants created an inspiring and encouraging atmosphere for differently-abled friends, making the celebration memorable for everyone involved.
